FAMINE 1921-1922 AND "TURGAYSKOE DELO"

Abstract

: The article describes the general situation during the famine that swept through five provinces and one county of Kazakhstan in 1921 -1922. When famine begins, the actions of the Kazakh intelligentsia to save the population from a famine catastrophe are outlined. The work of A. Bokeikhanov, A. Baitursynov, M. Dulatov, S. Saduakasov, M. Auezov, Zh. Aimautov on the fate of the country, activity in the press will be shown. To help the population of Turgay, the unity and cohesion of the population of the Semipalatinsk province is shown when collecting livestock. In addition, the cattle collected in the Torgai population were delivered under the leadership of J. Aimautov, and the appearance of conflicting opinions on this issue was distrib uted, and the proceedings left in history under the name "Torgai case" are indicated on the basis of archival documents. The trial process, cooperation and unity of the Kazakh intelligentsia, support for each other, are outlined and analyzed on the basis of evidence.
