Abstract

The article raises the problem of poorly understood early history of the formation of the vocational education industry in Kazakhstan in the 1920s. Political repression during the "Little October" period claimed the lives of many talented Kazakh patriots. Along with their physical elimination, the industry turned out to be lagging behind, and there was a shortage of high-quality personnel from among the so- called "working" professions. In the pre-war years, and especially during the war years, this deficit was mechanically replaced by incoming migrants, then by evacuated citizens. With the collapse of the USSR, labor emigration from Kazakhstan also hurt the vocational education sector. The President of the country, K.K.Tokayev, quite rightly drew attention t o the importance of honoring a Man of Work. And this actualizes the fact that the merits of the first leaders of the People's Commissariat of Education of the republic, in particular, Smagul Sadvokasov, as one of the brightest representatives of the Alash galaxy, who essentially formed the system of industrial 80 technical schools, professionalization should be perpetuated through scientifically based and popular scientific articles, books, and films.
