FEATURES OF THE FORMATION OF THE ARCHIVAL FUND OF DOCUMENTS ON THE HISTORY OF POLITICAL REPRESSIONS IN THE 20-50S OF THE XX CENTURY

Abstract

The article provides a historical overview of the formation of an archival fund of documents on political repressions during the Soviet period. Using s pecific historical examples and analysis, an assessment is made of the informative significance of documents, especially party documents, now deposited in the funds of the Presidential Archive. At the same time, in a historical retrospective, an analysis i s given of the peculiarities of the formation of the archaeographic research fund, and the published documentary collections are characterized.
