SOCIO-POLITICAL ACTIVITY OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ALASH INTELLIGENTSIA

Abstract

Introduction. Currently, the working group established within the framework of the Decree of the Head of State Kassym -Jomart Tokayev dated November 24, 2020 «On the State commission for the full rehabilitation of victims of political repression in the period from 20 to 50 years of the twentieth century» has yielded significant results, especially from scientists. The working group that occupied this place was faced with the issue of reviewing the «cases» of persons convicted during the Soviet period under the «anti -Soviet» articles of the legal Code of the RSFSR. Most of those accused of political views were classified as «counter -revolutionaries», who were often accused under article 58, sentenced to years in prison and shot. Purpose and objectives. Conducting more in -depth research on the life and work, the spiritual heritage of Alash figures who served in the North Kazakhstan region, introducing them into scientific circulation by searching, sorting, differentiating and studying materials stored in archives and libraries. Results. Among the figures of the Northern region of Kazakhstan, Magzhan Zhumabayev, Aidarkhan Turlybayev, Yerezhep Itbayev, Zhumagali Tleulin, Salmakbai Kusemisov, Khayretdin Bolganbayev, Abdrakhman Baydildin, Tautan Arystanbekov, Smagul Saduakasov and others can be distinguished. Therefore, the article tells that at that time the Arysi, fighting for the independence and freedom of the nation of the Kazakh people, were active in all matters. Conclusions. During the work of the commission, a comprehensive study of the cases stored in archival funds is carried out, many of these «cases» turned out to be falsified, defamatory towards citizens; even if they were not brought to court and officially punished, representatives of many social strata of the country should be considered victims. Among them, the most important is a comprehensive review of the personal files of the Alash Lions who fought for independence, conducting search work on rehabilitation, drawing up expert opinions and issuing recommendations.
